A Portrait of the Artist as a Smirk Face

A Portrait of the Artist as a Smirk Face

Etymology Paronomasia

il-lustrated v./il-lust-rated/

Not an English word, but a hyphenated portmanteau created by the artist herself. 'lustrate' means to purify by ritual action. The prefix 'il' suggests negation. Hence the meaning of the word, 'not purified'. In short a makeshift pun name-excuse for the amateurish illustrations in this blog ;)
